Justin Holt began his career as a lighting technical director working at Rhythm & Hues Studios on the Academy Award Winning Animated Feature Happy Feet. However, his passion for textures landed him a gig as a texture painter on his second feature film, The Kingdom. From there Justin's career quickly sky-rocketed from being a part of a small team who painted textures for The Hulk and his rival The Abomination in the second adaptation of The Incredible Hulk, to painting the Owlship in Zack Snyder's Watchmen. After leading texture work at Industrial Light & Magic working on Gore Verbinski's feature animation Rango starring Johnny Depp, Justin has moved up to Vancouver to build a new texture pipeline and oversee the texture work coming out of Image Engine. Currently he is leading work on Neill Blomkamp's highly anticipated Elysium as well as R.I.P.D.
" Justin is the only texture artist whom I would trust with my models. His passion and unparalleled skills are showcased in each aspect of his craft. I've always been curious about his methods, and this tutorial will reveal his engaging teaching style and easy-to-follow work process. Definitely an invaluable learning tool from one of the film industry's very best artists."
